I ended up having a relatively normal day, with a couple extra touches, which is just the way I like to celebrate. I went to Takanami for lunch, and treated myself to sushi. Good sushi. I had the Rainbow Maki, which is eel and avocado with various fish on top, which was awesome. An entire roll of sushi, plus miso soup made my tummy very happy. I wandered the Ped Mall for a bit, then went back and ate the little heart-shaped strawberry pie Mom made for me.
That was all I did. I kinda like ringing in a new age quietly. At least I survived my rock star year. :)
6 Antiphon:
Oh my gosh! This was your birthday, too, wasn't it?
Happy belated birthday, twin:)
Yay! You made it! :-D
I felt like a real grown-up when I turned 28. That isn't entirely a good thing, but it isn't a bad thing either. Just a different way to feel, I guess.
I'm guessing from Min's comment that 27 is the rock star age, but why?
Lots of rock stars die at age 27. Among them are Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, and Kurt Cobain. Those are the ones people mention most, but there are actually many, many more.
So, I always call age 27 the rock star year. And apparently Amanda does too! :-)
I got it from you, sweetie!
I thought so! But I didn't want to assume. I mean, I didn't invent the idea or anything.
Or did I? ;-)
