I walked out the door this morning, having completely forgotten to put on makeup. How am I getting so absent-minded?

One day I left for work still wearing my slippers. No make-up is still a step up from that!

I have almost left for work with my slippers on before too. The worst is when I forget to brush my teeth. I usually have gum with me, but the feeling after a day of un-brushed teeth is just gross.

On occasion, I've been known to walk out the door with brushed teeth, but an unwashed face (I tend to put on mascara on the bus, once I've had more time to wake up).

It's not a lax attitude to personal hygiene - it's when I alter my routine.

I get up, get a drink, begin getting dressed, brush teeth, finish getting dressed and wash m face with a face wipe, then go.

If I brush my teeth first, then get fully dressed, or get fully dressed then say get a drink - somehow I can manage to walk out the door without washing my face or changing my socks. Seriously!

I realised as well the other day - if you normally put your socks on right foot first, or put trousers on right leg first - try doing left leg first. It feels damn weird (it was something like I'd sprayed Deep Heat on my right leg and hence went left leg first).

God bless the internet where we can share these wacky observations!
