Four week update on my weight-loss program: When I weighed myself this morning, I weighed in at 169 pounds, which is a 6 pound weight loss (or 3.43%).
Getting under 170 pounds is a real mental milestone, because 170 is the lower limit of my weight range over the past 10 years. I haven't been in the 160s since I put on the Freshman 15, so this is pretty exciting. Especially since I've been to TKD averaging once a week and the treadmill another once a week, so this is all pretty much eating modification.
I'm really getting into the swing of enjoying food for its natural flavors and getting used to not snacking. I still really have a tough time with the craving for something sweet about an hour after I eat lunch, but I know I need to save my snack for 4:00 when the real cravings start, so it's a little easier to resist when I know if I don't it will be so much worse later on. If I can't handle it, I drink diet pop and that'll satisfy it.
I'm also getting a free pedometer from the Biggest Loser program at work, so that will be fun. I like numbers. :)
Here's hoping I can continue the pound-a-week weight loss!

The great thing about working in a lab where you can't bring food is that you can't snack! Is that great? I am not so sure anymore.
WAY TO GO!
Excellent performance! I'm jealous; I had that amazing weight loss the first week and have pretty much stalled since then except for a pound or so. But I think that maybe, maybe I'm losing inches if not pounds.
Excellent! And yay for breaking through mental milestones!
Yaaaaaaaaaay, well done! (Also, can I have some of your fortitude, please?)
WOOHOO!
I, on the other hand, seem to be slowly gaining weight...
;)
That's awesome, Amanda!
I'm in the same boat as Jenn, though... expanding as we speak. 0_o
