Joe and I like doing puzzles. Call us old fogies if you wish, but especially when winter comes along, it's nice to do something together that doesn't involve vegging on the couch. He has a gift for seeing the shape of the pieces, and I'm a little more about the color, so we work well together. Although I like to sort out all the pieces by color first, while he likes to pick out all the edges to put together and then attack all willy nilly. I figure if you're going to touch all the pieces anyway looking for edges, you might as well put them into usable piles while you're at it.

We bought one last year when we were poking around Amana. It had a fun Halloween theme, and was a good balance of hard parts and easy parts. When October rolled around, we were excited to put it together. Except when we got done, we were left with this:

There were THREE pieces missing out of our brand new puzzle! Talk about disappointment. So I got on the web, found SunsOut Puzzles, and sent an email to their customer service department. Yesterday, we got a whole new puzzle in the mail for free. How awesome is that? Of course, now we have to put it together all over again to see if this one has all the pieces, but extra entertainment, right?

Anyone want a puzzle with three pieces missing?
